Event Coverage

The Challenge
An event can be gone in a few hours. For Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Gulf Coast, the challenge was capturing more than what happened that day—it was capturing why it mattered. The organization needed to show supporters, potential donors, and grantmakers what their programs actually look like and, more importantly, what they mean to the children experiencing them.
The Idea
We didn't just want to document the event. We wanted to capture it through the eyes of the kids. The excitement, the surprise, the laughter, and the genuine bewilderment of experiencing something new became the story. The goal was to create a piece that showed the organization in action while making its impact impossible to miss.
The Execution
We traveled to Galveston and embedded ourselves in the event as it unfolded. Rather than staging moments or simply collecting wide shots of activities, we looked for the reactions happening inside them—the faces, interactions, and little moments that communicate what an experience actually feels like. The result combined the energy of the event with the human impact behind it.
The Result
Big Brothers Big Sisters walked away with more than event coverage. They gained a visual record of the work they're doing in their community—something they can share with supporters, use in promotional efforts, and incorporate into the larger story they tell when pursuing grants and funding. Because when an organization depends on people believing in its impact, sometimes the most powerful proof isn't another statistic. It's showing them what that impact looks like.
