Event Coverage

The Challenge
Event promotion can quickly become a list of things an event has: live music, food, rides, vendors, activities. But a list doesn't tell you what it actually feels like to be there. The Lowell Labor Day Festival needed content that could promote the event without simply repeating everything already on the flyer.
The Idea
Instead of asking the festival to tell people why they should come, we asked the people who were already there. We gave visitors one simple question: “What's your favorite part of the festival?” Their answers became the story—and suddenly the festival wasn't being sold by the organizers. It was being recommended by the people experiencing it.
The Execution
Alongside traditional event coverage, we set up a dedicated camera and microphone to capture quick, authentic responses from festivalgoers. We collected dozens of different answers, personalities, and perspectives, then turned that footage into a series of short-form reels. Each one highlighted a different reason to come back the following year.
The Result
The festival didn't just walk away with an event video. They walked away with a library of social content they could use long after the festival ended to build anticipation for the next one. Instead of telling people what the Lowell Labor Day Festival has to offer, the content let visitors do the talking—and their favorite memories became the promotion.
